Another one of the set!  Just one more montage to create now...can't believe how attractive I look in all of my own photographs!  (I did my make-up myself!).

I took this montage today, it's entitled "A Walk in the Country".  It was a beautiful day, so I decided to have a little wander in the countryside, the views were stunning, but every nano-second I had to avoid something unpleasant on the ground - I got so fed up with having to do this, I decided to photograph it instead, now everyone can share in the pleasure of my walk in the country!

So today I've mostly been reminiscing about the office which I've spent the last 6 weeks shut inside, writing essays and building websites!  I didn't have to go into it once and I didn't miss it!

HURRAH!!!  I've handed in my last assignment, uploaded my website and can finally put my feet up for the weekend!

Thursday, June 5, 2008

I've finally finished my website - well....... when I say finished, what I actually mean is I've got to a stage where by if I carry on "tweaking" it, I'll have to re-write the accompanying essay, coz I will have changed the site so much the essay won't be relevant!
I was all set to upload the website, but every time I try to log onto the server I get an error message.  I KNOW the code is correct, it just won't upload!  It's not a problem, it's not as if this web site and essay have to be handed into uni tomorrow and uploaded to the server by then......oh, actually that is exactly the situation!

Silvershotz magazine is as excellent, as always.  Loads of nature and natural form photos.  I recently started looking over some of my favourite photographers again, especially Edward Weston and Karl Blossfeldt, who predominantly photographed nature and natural form and in black and white.  As a direct result of this I have set my camera to the monochrome setting and am constantly in the garden and around the house snapping away at these style of subjects.  It's fascinating, and  a plus point is it stops Lewis shouting at me coz I'm no longer using him as my subject of choice!

Hurrah for Silvershots Magazine!  I didn't renew my subscription (not sure why, as I really like the magazine and as a photography student find it really inspirational), never-the-less they've seen fit to send me this months copy.  Must be an admin error, or a cunning ploy to get me to renew my subscription.  Think I'll wait til next month and see if I get another free copy?!

One other thing I wanted to mention is, someone has scraped my car AGAIN!  I don't understand how anyone managed to hit it, it's bright red, tiny and parked so far off road it's practically in my living room! and yet I have a nice white scratch on the rear bumper (opposite side to last time - obviously).  I think this scratch is gonna have to stay there as I can't afford to have it re-sprayed at the moment - what with currently being a jobless student!

I suppose if I have a blog I must have something interesting to say.

My friend Lucy is back in hospital, she had her 2nd pacemaker removed yesterday due to infection and is having a general today to have the infected area cleaned out.  She's 33 years old and has already had a cardiac arrest.

I'll keep you updated.
